The
Ancient Egyptians were among the most successful and spiritual
people on the Earth. They created wonder after wonder, such as
the pyramids, great temples, and the language of hieroglyphs.
But how did they attain such inner and outer brilliance? Through
their Gods, which we know today as archetypes.
Simply put,
the archetypes of Egypt are psychology made visual. They are your
emotions and states of mind personified as deities. Joy, bliss,
anger, sadness, success, courage, etc., were explained through
divine images which revealed the nature and deep needs of each
emotion. For example, to study the God Mintu, Lord of War, was
nothing more than the study of your own inner warrior and anger
issues.
The Egyptians
taught that there are 12 core star Gods. Each God (emotional state
of mind) had a secret name and a law book that
controlled them. For example, he who knew anger's or joy's true
name as written in their Book of Law was given power to forever
control those impulses in a positive and productive way.
